The Hong Kong Society of Nephrology was established since 1979. It is a non-profit making professional organization consisting of doctors, nurses and other allied health staff who are interested in renal diseases.
The 13th WKD@HK jointly organized with the HKKF and HKARN was held in Kowloon Bay International Trade & Exhibition Centre and attended by some 1,200 healthcare professionals, patients and families. Secretary for Food and Health Prof Sophia Chan was the Guest of Honor. The theme was “Kidneys & Women’s Health: Include, Value, Empower”, and the event together with promotional materials and interviews were also widely publicized in the media – radio, newspapers, TV, MTR, online platforms, etc.
