The Hong Kong Society of Nephrology was established since 1979. It is a non-profit making professional organization consisting of doctors, nurses and other allied health staff who are interested in renal diseases.
A scientific symposium “Cost-effectiveness of basal insulin analogue from a regional perspective” and “How new basal insulin analogue addresses glycemic control needs in high risk patients (elderly & CKD patients)” were delivered by Dr Andrea O.Y. Luk (Endocrinology, PWH) & Prof Robert Ritzel (Munich, Germany) respectively on 20 March 2018. The symposium was co-organized with the Hong Kong Geriatrics Society and attended by 65 members and healthcare professionals.
