The Hong Kong Society of Nephrology was established since 1979. It is a non-profit making professional organization consisting of doctors, nurses and other allied health staff who are interested in renal diseases.
A dinner reception was held on 18 December 2017 at the Grand Hyatt Hotel, Hong Kong in honour of Prof. Peter Mathieson, President and Vice-Chancellor of the University of Hong Kong. The occasion was attended by the Senior Advisor, current Council, past chairmen and nephrologists closed related to Prof. Mathieson. Professor Mathieson is an internationally renowned nephrologist and podocytologist, and has been a keen supporter of the HKSN during his stay in HK. He has delivered several lectures on nephrology on various occasions during his term as HKU President. Many members shared their fond memories with Prof. Mathieson.
